Strategy, systems, and hands-on design

UX strategy, design operations, and product design leadership grounded in how teams actually deliver.

My work sits between product direction, organizational systems, and hands-on design. I build operating practices that help teams make decisions, then stay close enough to the product to test those decisions against real users, engineering constraints, and release pressure.

Product and portfolio leadership

I connect customer evidence, business priorities, and technical constraints to decisions teams can act on. At Isos that included client executive partnership and design delivery; in enterprise product work it means shaping direction with product and engineering leaders.

  • UX and product strategy
  • Portfolio prioritization and discovery
  • Executive and cross-functional partnership
  • Release and delivery planning

Design operations and organizational systems

I build the guidance, review practices, and decision paths that let design work travel beyond the people who first made it. Mentoring and critique sit alongside documentation, migration planning, and exception support.

  • Operating models and decision rights
  • Review and exception routes
  • Artifact lifecycle and release practices
  • Mentoring, critique, and reusable playbooks

Enterprise product and interaction design

I stay hands-on with complex workflows, research synthesis, interaction design, and prototyping. The Proscia interim engagement included detailed product delivery as well as principal-level framing and judgment.

  • Workflow design and information architecture
  • User research and validation
  • Interaction design and prototyping
  • Accessibility and implementation specifications

Design systems and design-to-code

I connect visual decisions with behavior and implementation guidance. The EDS recovery brought component and pattern architecture, tokens, Figma, Storybook, and migration support into a shared delivery path.

  • Component and pattern architecture
  • Semantic tokens and theming
  • Code Connect TSX and token JSON
  • Adoption support and implementation verification

Responsible AI and agent-enabled workflows

I structure the sources and instructions an agent works from, then define where people review its proposals and verify implementation. That includes source-linked knowledge, PRD-driven workflow proposals, and developer checks rather than an assumption that generated output is correct.

  • Source-grounded knowledge and retrieval
  • Prompt and agent instruction architecture
  • Human review and traceability
  • Configured lint checks, code review, and product QA

Tools change. The underlying practice carries forward.

My background spans design, development, research, and delivery tools as those practices have evolved over more than 25 years. I am not tied to one platform. Understanding the workflow, the information, and the system gives me a foundation for learning the tool a team needs.

Current tools and implementation references include Figma, FigJam, Miro, Storybook, Code Connect, TSX, and token JSON, alongside AI-assisted design and research workflows. I use them for different jobs: exploring an idea, documenting a decision, connecting it to code, or helping somebody verify the result. The tools support the practice; they do not define its limits.
